I guess the golden putter comic is a fitting way to end this brilliant series. Putting symolizes the end of the strip, just like putting is the end of a hole of golf. This episode was especially funny, making it "golden." However, such mental energy was required to craft this panel that Ben was too drained to face starting up a whole new panel, thus he has "traded his driver" for this golden putter. He no longer has the potency to get a new idea off the ground.
